Track context switches. Stay in flow.
Product Lanes is a small macOS app that lets you track what you’re working on with one hotkey. Switch between “contexts,” see a live timer in the menu bar, and get a simple weekly report of sessions and switches. Manual by design—no screenshots, no background snooping. Problem When you juggle a job, a side project, and life, time disappears in context switches. Most time trackers are heavy, task-centric, or rely on noisy auto-detect. Lanes makes it trivial to log the moment you switch so your week finally adds up. Who it’s for People who split attention: indie hackers, makers, freelancers, students, and anyone with a day job plus a side project who wants clarity without a project-management tool. Validation I built it because I couldn’t explain where my hours went. I’ve been dogfooding it daily and shared early builds with a handful of peers. Their feedback drove hotkeys, a menu bar flow, and cleaner weekly totals. It’s now live with a 7-day trial to test real willingness to pay.
